BHIMDUTTANAGAR, MAY 11 - The recentwindstorm has caused damages to more than 450 houses in the far-Western region.

According to the information shared by the Far-Western Regional Police Office, the windstormhas affected 476 buildings including that of police, educational institutions and general public. The hardest hit is Kailali where 286 houses have seen loss.

Likewise, the windstorm has triggered partial damages to 150 houses in Kanchanpur, five each in Bajhang and Dadeldhura and one in Doti, said Far-Western Regional Police In-charge Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ram Kumar Khanal.

He shared that even 47 concrete buildings in Kanchanpur have suffered partial damage due to strong wind. RSS
