 HAPPY HOLI

Holi (Fagu Purnima) is the festival of colours and joy. It is just around the corner and you must have started plan- ning to celebrate it with water bal- loons and water guns. You can make a water gun out of an old plastic bottle in a very easy way. You can make as many as you like and give it to your brothers, sisters and friends too.
You will need · Plastic water bottle · Nail and hammer · Cylindrical pipe · Marker pens · Super Glue
INSTRUCTIONS 1. Take the cap off the mouth of the water bottle.

2. Using marker pen, draw on the cap an outline of the diameter of one end of the pipe.

3. Ask your elders to help you with the hammer and nail to make a hole on the cap accord- ing to the marked circle.

4. Place the cap back again on top of the water bottle.

5. Push the pipe through the hole on the cap until half of it sticks out and the other half remains inside the bottle.

6. Take off the pipe-fitted cap again.

7. Fill the bottle with plain or coloured water.

8. Put the cap back again and turn it well to fit tightly on the mouth of the bottle. Your water gun (pichkari) is ready for use.

9. Hold the bottle at a 45 degree angle and squeeze well to shoot.

10. Don't use dirty water and never shoot at any person who does not want to be coloured. Play Holi with your family and friends and have a happy and safe Holi.
